County Dismisses Plan To Probe Child Unit
Erie County commissioners rejected an independent probe into Children's Services over foster home abuse cases. Chairman Michael J. Flatley and Commissioner William O. Hill Jr praised Director Carl Triola, saying he has undertaken a proper inquiry and has their confidence. Triola canceled polygraph plans, citing legal questions, and promised a full written report at the July 12 meeting while noting no evidence of a cover-up in Davies or other cases.
