Trial starts in stabbing case in Mayville
Four witnesses testified as the trial of McArthur Evans, 50, of Metallic avenue Jamestown opened before Judge Hugh Bodine. Evans faces second degree assault for the stabbing of Morris Aiken, 34, of Manali avenue. Jamestown officer John Palladino identified photos of the house where the attack occurred before Aiken testified he had just returned home after four months in the Monroe County penitentiary on a bootlegging charge.
