Three people died in weekend traffic accidents across Northwestern Pennsylvania and Southwestern New York. A 40 year old Jamestown man, Richard Brown, died in a one car crash and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Jamestown coroner.
AP reporting two separate fires in north central Philadelphia claim six lives. A 30 year old woman and three of her seven children died in a three story brick row house fire. A second fire near 25 blocks away killed a young boy and a girl. The husband and several children were hospitalized with injuries. Fire officials investigate both blazes.

The Navy named Ingalls Shipbuilding and General Dynamics to build three Sturgeon class nuclear attack subs for a total program of about $214.8 million. Each sub would cost roughly $35.8 million, with Ingalls on a fixed price incentive contract and General Dynamics on a letter contract, implying different profit and negotiation paths.
State Police probed an early morning shooting at Conneaut Lake Hunting and Fishing Club. Richard Dennis, 24, of Conneaut Lake, suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen and was hospitalized. Yvonne Lee Davis, of Meadville, allegedly tried to pocket the pistol as Dennis grabbed her arm during the incident. A separate fatal crash occurred near Monroeville when John H. Gallagher, 57, was struck by multiple vehicles on U.S. 22.
GenTel and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers reach a tentative two year contract. Erie County employees total about 600 with 1,500 statewide. A strike deadline was postponed pending the contract vote.
