Erie lagoon planned to curb beach erosion at peninsula
A large man made lagoon will be built near the present lagoons to stabilize the peninsula beaches. Dredging sand from the bay side will form a new lagoon and groins to hold the beach. Final approval hinges on Senate passage of the public works appropriation with work expected to begin mid July and take about two years.
