Oil City man cited on fireworks law violation
An Oil City businessman became one of the first in Northwestern Pennsylvania cited for violating the state fireworks law. He was freed on a $900 bond after holding for the next term of court. Police raided his establishment with OK City officers and seized fireworks. Earlier, police confiscated explosive pieces from a group of boys and learned where they were purchased. Donald “Butch” Jackson and Paul Lindstrom of the city displayed a four foot timber rattlesnake. The snake’s head was severed when they clubbed it to death yesterday on Cole Jackson. They spotted the rattler while cutting timber. It had nine rattles and a button.
