Frewsburg Fire Threatens Village Structures
A fire at the blacksmith shop of Frank Chinton in Frewsburg at 1 80 o'clock this morning menaced a large part of the business district. A strong wind fanned flames toward the Chinlon and Floyd Lewis residences, the general store, shoe store, meat market, post office, and livery stables. The alarm drew a large volunteer turnout and Jamestown aid was requested as the blaze spread to the Chinson residence and surrounding buildings. Chief Wilson dispatched the steamer and chemical wagon by 2 o'clock.

Woman and six children injured in Cuba road crash
A touring car carrying Mrs. FW Morneas and six children overturned on a curve on Haskell Road near Cuba yesterday afternoon. All occupants were injured except one child. Mrs Morneas suffered a broken collarbone and arm, one girl sprained an ankle, others injured lightly. Nearby motorists helped extract them and the car leaked oil and gas. The scene was remote, delaying aid by nearly an hour.

Perkins Seeks Parole From Leavenworth Penitentiary

Work Begun Wheels Are Moving at Shreve Plant
Union City June 30 The Shreve Chair Company started manufacture of chairs today three months and 22 days after a devastating March 5 fire that wiped out the plant. Machinery is being put to work with band saws and washers in operation, rough stock ready for chair making, two hundred feet of fly mammoth structure complete, windows nearly installed, and an army of workers busy setting up equipment powered by a diesel motor. The company aims to reach finished products in a few weeks despite skeptics who doubted July production.
