The Corry Mutual Fire Insurance Co held its annual meeting on January 28. Wm W Blair G D Heath G M Ream B W Stennett GH Geiger D H Bracken were elected directors for two years. Auditors named B M Jourdet A Colegrous and L P Knowlton. Secretary’s report shows 1909 insurance in force total 623,465 with 309,555 net after reinsurance. Losses paid 1,820.14. bank deposits 1,006.81. premiums in collection 788.7. Assessable insurance in force 25804.26. Total resources 97,269.25. losses payable 12 percent of in force. Insurance in force by age group, local and outside areas, and comment on mutual vs stock insurers are noted.

Miss Agnes Wilson daughter of Mr and Mrs J G Wilson of Second Ave Brooklyn was elected last Thursday to the position of assistant physical director at the Manual Training High School Seventh Avenue and Fourth Street in Brooklyn New York. She had previously served as physical director at Packer Institute Brooklyn for eight years and resigned at Christmas. The new post is more lucrative and she is a Corry High School graduate class of 1896 who taught in local public schools.
Erie Railroad engineers studied Bemus town dam on French Creek near Meadville to restore it and generate power at Meadville shops. They estimated 833 to 4000 horsepower from restoring to former level, with a plan for a large electric plant to power operations and future needs.
