Jury blames railroads in death of Corry couple
A Warren County coroner jury blamed the New York Central and Pennsylvania Railroads for a fatal overpass accident near Youngsville. It urged the Public Utility Commission to require sturdier cement railings on the bridge, following the December death of Mr and Mrs H D Haupin. The inquest, held at the Warren County Courthouse, saw nine witnesses and observers from the railroads, state highway department and county officials. The coroner and district attorney will file formal requests to the PUC to carry out the recommendation.
