Pittsburg industries resume activity across the Allegheny region. American Sheet and Tin Plate orders restart eight Pilteburgi mills at Kensington next Monday, with six mills employing about 500 workers returning to full operation. Two mills stay idle briefly to rebuild a furnace. New Kensington plants report improved conditions and hiring, including 100 additional workers. Allegheny Steel Company’s Brackenridge plant, employing six hundred, is back in full operation. Homestead area sees gradual normalization with a two weeks pay distributed among workers at Homestead Steel Works Howard Axle Works and Schoen Car Works, about 10 percent higher than recent payouts.

Mr J Benjamin formerly of Wayne township died at his daughter Mrs B A Wagner Kennedy N Y Thursday June 28 at 4 15 p m age 78 years after heart trouble. He is survived by his wife and one daughter Mrs B A Wagner with whom they have lived the last two and a half years. The funeral will be held at Corry from the United Brethren Church Sunday January algt at 2 oclock.
