The WASP bureau began returning separation papers to veterans whose applications were processed. A bonus of up to 8000 was promised per veteran, with 600000 dollars allocated for more than 1215,000 WW II veterans. To date 33490 applications had been processed, and March 11 payments were set to begin in Pennsylvania.
Paul Woods 26 was found guilty of second degree murder in the August shotgun death of his brother Holdlie 22.
