William Higine, 52, of Butler Pa, was injured in a mine blast on Wednesday. He suffered facial burns and possible loss of sight in both eyes. A dynamite cartridge exploded as he prepared to load a coal shot. several miners were unable to rescue him due to the surge of debris.
