Cat Man Haunts Towns Stealing Cash in Night Prowl
In western Pennsylvania towns sheriff and police chase the so called Cat Man a small teen built thief who takes only cash. From August to now he has hit 11 communities including Brookville DuBois and Indiana with nightly takings ranging from 200 to 800 dollars. He enters unlocked homes but never forces entry and leaves no trail of stolen goods. Local officers describe him as cool and elusive with a five foot frame. In Brookville he entered four homes early this week taking 250 dollars from two residences and leaving muddy tracks. Officers say the suspect moves on when doors are locked and avoids confrontation.

Obscene Phone Call Arrests In Erie Case
A 1-year-old juvenile and a 2-year-old Erie man were arrested for obscene phone calls to local women. Frederick Weist Jr. faced malicious use of the telephone charges, pleaded innocent, and was held on 500 dollar bond before posting it. A separate 14-year-old juvenile was also implicated in similar calls. A witness described a home intrusion during the incident.
