New 27 Mile Interstate 80 Section Opens in Clarion County
The 14 million stretch of Interstate 80 known as Keystone Shortway opens from the Brookville bypass western end in Clarion County to the Marienne interchange on the Clarion River west shore. It links with Legislative Route 16043 for about 27 miles from Reynoldsville interchange to the river. Next fall an 18 mile gap from bridge to bridge will open, completing 80 miles from the Ohio line east to Reynoldsville. The Emlenton high level bridge is 85 percent complete. the Clarion River bridge ranks as the third highest in the state after Emlenton and Washington bridges.

RiPely area assault case ends with 22 year old Clarendon man ordered held for the Chautauqua County grand jury after arraignment on first degree rape.
