Salvage drive outlines plan to boost waste paper return
The fourth week of the school waste paper salvage drive sees students collecting at the elementary building. Results are satisfactory but a recent dip prompts VFW leaders to consider reducing the weekly schedule to twice monthly and to expand collection sites. Weather and staffing hinder progress while calls for walls to aid collection rise at VFW HQ. About 75 has been recovered from salvaged paper and turned over to Walter Scotti for the community wartime activities fund.
