The annual Mothers March against birth defects sponsored by the March of Dimes starts Sunday January 0 in Erie County with donations aiding research medical services and health education programs. Local chairmen seek volunteers for Corry East West Wayne Townships and other wards as the group fights infant birth defects in the nation. A birth announcement notes a son born January 23 1977 to Mr and Mrs Robert Adams and another son born January 28 1977 to Mr and Mrs Carl Nielsen at Corry Memorial Hospital.

Mary Bogniak daughter of Mr and Mrs John Bogniak of 16 West Park Place Corry has been chosen January Girl of the Month by Corry Area High School faculty. She will be honored January 26 at 7 20 p m in the Colonial Room Moose Lodge. Jeanne Martin also to be honored. both will receive certificates and mothers attend. Mary is school treasurer and hobbies include dancing camping music sports. Mary works part time at Davis Insurance and plans to continue in insurance after graduation.
