Former Instructor and Girlfriend Refuse to Return to South Seas Island
Bruce Jonnson, a former physical education instructor, and his 22 year old girlfriend Shari Quam say they will not return to the uninhabited South Seas island where they spent three months to prove they could exist. The Erie County Soil and Water Conservation District held its annual planning meeting with District chairman Robert Harwood presiding. Cooperating agencies included the State Soil and Water Conservation Commission, Pennsylvania departments and commissions, and the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service. The Long Range Program was approved by the State Soil mission on January 3.
