Damage suit filed over interurban wreck death in county court
The damage suit against George McLend receiver of the Buffalo and Eve Railway Co seeks $10,500 for Paul Smith who died hours after being crushed and burned when his truck was struck by an interurban car weeks ago. Louis Shambaugh and wife left for Meadville to establish their future home. Mrs Shambaugh was formerly Mrs Mabel Messenger.

Catholic Daughters entertain at benefit card party
Knights of Columbus hall hosted a Catholic Daughters of America benefit with eighteen tables for bridge and five hundred. Proceeds support the Court treasury as Mrs. Guy Abbey and Mrs. Paul were thanked for bridge aid to Oscar. Attendants included Mrs. H Montagus and Mrs. C. W. Busse among others from Union City and Middleman. Prof. H C Wilson visited Union City. Mrs. Helen O’Leary and Mrs. W Gernitis were noted traveling to Titusville for local school events.
