A state wide effort is announced for the first week of April to educate every Pennsylvanian about diphtheria prevention. Authorities from schools, churches, business, and civic groups plan a coordinated campaign to disseminate preventive messages to the public. Local notes mention Groundhog Day and winter weather, plus social and church events, and several community notices from Davis-St. Pierre Co. about sales and local meetings.
Montville jury hearing the Shell Burr Levy alienation damage case remains unable to reach a verdict after a long deliberation. The piece notes the stalled jury as the Titusville matter drags on with no accord on the verdict.
