Franklin machine shop burned near Eagle and Fifteenth
Fire gutted the Franklin machine shop and garage building operated by Branch Hoover early Saturday morning, causing estimated losses of 4000 to 5000 dollars. The blaze spread through the one story frame structure used for welding, storage, and equipment. Hoover found some fire in the shop near midnight but said it was not very hot when he checked it, and the cause may have been an overheated coal stove.
