Town Fails 10 Pay For Water Fire Plugs Broke

Everson officials warned freezing temperatures could trigger a disastrous blaze if houses caught fire. Borough council prepared a complaint to the public service commission. TWBuel said Everson had not paid $750 due annually since 1993 and claimed the borough sent only an arbitrary letter when asked to pay. Borough Attorney Byrne said the borough had done everything possible as four large providers in the district have shut down.
