Pirates Invite Confident Sam McDowell To Spring Training

Sam McDowell, 32, a 10th in MLB strikeouts with 2424, will join the Pittsburgh Pirates as a non roster invitee for spring training. The lefty expressed hope for three or four strong years in Pittsburgh after leaving the Yankees.
