Pennsylvania expands state hospital care program for aged and needy
Our voluntary community hospitals lead the nation as Pennsylvania residents join prepaid plans to fund care. A bipartisan General Assembly action created a comprehensive program aiding low income citizens, with broadened liberal eligibility for the aged 65 plus and new 1964 provisions to help younger low income patients access tax financed hospital care. Regulations already apply to those 65 or older for hospital care and some nursing home help under the Medical Assistance for the Aged program. see your County Board of Public Assistance for full information.
