Lillie, commercial photographer, completed a collection of photographs showing fine representations of products from Corry Chair and Metal Furniture firms, Kirk Brava Bed, Raymount, Rex Comfabs, Cony Couch, Clemax Locomotive and others. A duplicate display appears in the firm’s South Street case near the post office.
The funeral of Mrs Abbie Lyons was held at St Thomas church this morning 1930 and was largely attended by friends and relatives. Pallbearers included four Lyons sons C W Lyons D J Lyons Peter Lyons and John Lyons J D Murray and Archie Lyons. Interment followed at St Thomas cemetery with several relatives from out of town in attendance. In the same report a resident of the Fourth ward Bear Luke Caled Hall was seriously hurt at Climax shops when a brass filing struck his left eye causing bandaging and temporary incapacity.
A. W. Warren of North Corry Greenhouses plans major expansion this spring to shift wholesale plant and flower production to new greenhouses farther from the city. He has found wholesale sales from current quarters exceed retail and intends bulk greenhouse capacity on Columbus Ave while continuing local market supply at the present location.
