Youths Charged In Burglary After Chase
Two county youths, Barry W. Drake and Clifford E. Custard, were charged with burglary of the Linesville Veterans of Foreign Wars Post after a dawn chase in Meadville. Police fired two riot gun blasts as the suspects fled east on Route 6. they were arraigned and posted bond for a January 27 hearing.

New Castle Man Dies After Heart Transplant At Methodist
Roger Burke of New Castle Pennsylvania died at Methodist Hospital after his body rejected the heart from a transplant performed January 10. Burke, 34, a machine operator, was Houston's 33rd heart transplant patient. Officials did not reveal the donor or surgeon. Burke had a six year history of heart disease and was readmitted after Thanksgiving.
