Warren Mans Held in Alleged Attempt to Kill
Nick Sommar co is in the county jail under $10,000 bond on charges of attempting to kill Joe Parise of 1416 Silk Street. Parise was shot five times Sunday evening on Morrison Street and Pourdl. Sommarco was arrested Monday afternoon at Hammond Iron Works by Chief Whaleben and Patrolmen Griffith and Pope. He was questioned and held for the March term after a warrant was sworn out by Nelson. Parise survives the alleged shooting with poor marksmanship noted.

In Mayville on January 19 Dr Elmer B Jones of Jamestown received one year in Monroe county penitentiary and a $100 fine after pleading to a reduced charge following a guilty plea for assault in the third degree The grand jury had indicted him on a statutory charge and the plea was changed to the lesser offense.
