Jamestown police hold three teens after a City Court appearance on third degree burglary charges tied to a Falconer Superette break in. One teen was treated for a laceration at WCA Hospital before being taken into custody. detectives traced the incident to nearby break ins and two youths were later found at home.
Edward J. McIntyre, 23, was freed after three years in prison when Allegheny County dropped charges in a retrial for second degree murder in the 1960 stabbing of night watchman Joseph Plesniak, 42, during a burglary. A fellow inmate Thomas Sterner confessed in 1965, affecting the case.
Wattsburg resident Charles Bush, Waterford’s Ray Farman, and Conneautville’s Emory Kardosh were elected directors of the Northwest Pennsylvania Maple Producers Association at the Cambridge Springs meeting. President Eugene Running led the luncheon session and Dr. C O Willets of Maple Research Laboratory spoke on sap collection tubing and syrup making with central evaporators.
