Still Seek Funds For Palsy Drive
The drive to raise funds for cerebral palsy aid in the city fell short of expectations with only about 200 collected versus 800 last year. Poor workmanship blamed for deck deterioration in Penn State study
Civil engineers from Pennsylvania State University report that poor workmanship and weak materials control caused bridge deck deterioration in a three year survey of 20 Pennsylvania counties including Forest and Warren. Bridges were all under ten years old and recommendations to curb potholes frost damage surface cracks and steel reinforcement rusting will be shared at the 47th Highway Research Board meeting.
