Seven Crashes Shake Area As Drunk Driving Charges Follow
Four crashes in the city last night and today led to one juvenile hospital admission and four charges of underage drinking plus one drunk driving charge. A car pursuit ended in a crash after officers spotted a suspected vehicle on First Avenue. The car hit a pole and embankment near West Church Street before stopping. Five people were in the car including two Corry girls aged 15 and 16, both charged with possession and underage drinking. The driver, D. Adams, 23, Union City, faced drunken driving charges. two other men, Kirik 18 and Ingalls 20, were charged with underage possession and drinking. The admitted injured teen was in satisfactory condition. Damage to Adams’ car was about 1000 dollars. Other incidents included a salt truck collision with a parked pickup in Center alley and a separate accident on East Main Street involving Gjertson and McKuhn.
