European defense ministers hold informal sessions to align views
A dinner hosted Wednesday by Belgian Defense Minister Paul Segers for European defense colleagues followed Britain's earlier dinner with Denis Healey at the November meeting. An informed NATO source said such sessions are now established practice to create a shared European stance on current issues and assist the new U.S. administration’s NATO planning. They would be linked to regular defense ministers meetings held twice yearly.
