Birdie Tells Us reports Paul Martin son of Mr and Mrs Paul R Martin of Whitney Run left from Port Erie Airport for Seattle to return to Nha Trang Vietnam for a six month tour with the United States Army after a 30 day leave. Robert Murray son of Mr and Mrs Eugene Murray left for Fort Bragg NC to join the 82nd Airborne after a year in Vietnam where he earned the Bronze Star and Army Commendation Medal and will be discharged in June. Corry Grange plans a meeting at Grange Hall with an 8:30 start and a program by Mrs Leo Gates. James Miller and Diane Miller head to Las Vegas to referee and promote at the United States Open Archery Tournament. Hospital guest Ralph Morris remains in Meadville City Hospital Room 455. Kathy King entertained Corry Area Historical Society members with a guitar and folk songs including Turn Turn Turn Someday Soon Jet Plane and Gentle on My Mind. A white elephant sale raised funds for the guild treasury while a large turnout enjoyed refreshments and a tureen dinner planned for February 10th.
