Fragmented OCR item about county, Nixon links and charges

Vague OCR fragment mentions county, danger, and quotes about Nixon era figures. Reads like a garbled historical note with no clear event, date, or identifiable individuals beyond references to Nixon and county concerns. The text is too corrupted to extract a coherent news item.

Pay Board Considers Exemption Threshold At $1.90

Washington AP reports the Cost of Living Council proposes exempting workers earning under $1.90 an hour from wage controls while the Pay Board seeks comments. The move follows a wage panel decision to retroactively pay many raises lost during the freeze, with only select raises above 7 percent and large-pay-unit raises under review. The council had previously lifted restraints for workers under the federal minimum wage, but Congress pushes exemptions for the working poor. The board’s 8–2 vote approved an aerospace wage plan, with unions planning court action for a larger retroactive cut, amid broader wage and price control actions and a new emergency federal court head.
