WPA Allocation Grants County Jobs in Erie Area

Nearing One Million Members Insured by Federal S&L Insurance
The Federal Savings and Loan Insurance Corporation backs up to $6,000 per member for nearly a million B and L associations insured by year 1936. By December 23 1935 applications had come from 1 887 associations in 44 states with deposits totaling over 1 090 992 721 and about 1 600 000 savers. Insurance is optional for state chartered groups and mandatory only for federally chartered associations.
