Erie Slayer Sentenced Life With Possible Release in Eight Years
Vernon C. Marsh pleaded guilty to first degree murder for the February 10, 1965 shooting of Harborcreek tavern owner Bruno C. Roehrl. Judge Thomas W. Barber gave life imprisonment with formal sentencing set for January 23. Marsh, 28, of North East, faces potential commutation after eight years for good behavior under board rules.
