The college cites operating deficits and higher faculty costs. Four new faculty posts will be created with salaries about 20 000 annually to maintain a low faculty student ratio. The change follows a 30.8 percent rise in operating costs since 1961 compared with a 28 percent rise in tuition since 1953.
