Organized Labor Seeks Wage Hour Law in State
Harrisburg Pennsylvania organized labor plans to push a state wage hour act in the 1939 Legislature and press for retention of the Little New Deal era measures. AFL and CIO groups will seek early talks with Governor-elect and lawmakers to endorse or reject proposals, including a 25 cent per hour minimum and a 44 hour work week with gradual steps to a 40 hour ceiling and 40 cent minimum.
