Motor Club to Fight Proposed Tax on Oil
Information from the American Automobile Association affiliated with the Corry Motor Club reports a Congress proposal to tax crude oil and fuel oil with various incidental taxes. Motor organizations plan a vigorous protest, arguing tariffs would raise gasoline prices for American auto owners and farmers. The Corry club will discuss taxation impacts and ways to reduce fuel costs at the Friday meeting in the Municipal building. The notice also announces the annual meeting of the Corry Mutual Fire & Insurance Company on January 26 at 8 PM at 17 East Washington.
