Denies Part In Robbery Of UC Man
A third person, Pearline Carr, 26, was charged with conspiracy to commit an unlawful act in the Union City robbery at knifepoint. Joseph Field, 38, and Edward McBride, 22, were also charged. Field pleaded guilty to armed robbery and both Field and Miss Carr posted $500 bond. Hearings set for next Thursday afternoon before Alderman Rossiter. Weed says Carr visited Carr’s apartment. Field admitted a knife and loot sharing after returning $10 to the victim. A ransacked truck yielded a meat scale valued at about $75.
