Farmers May Soon Hitch Up Wind For Generating Electricity
Washington reports the Agriculture Department predicts farmers will generate electricity from wind soon. A government wind velocity study finds 10 miles per hour suffices to charge batteries, with five charges every two to three days keeping batteries in good condition under average conditions. Wind power is stronger in winter, aiding charging. Further tests and related notes are planned.
