Inclement weather forced postponement of St Elizabeth's Guild session in the Colonial Room at the Moose Lodge. A new date will be set. the group will meet at 6 30 p m at Concord Elementary School with Sing Out Corry as entertainment under Miss Judith Dwyer supervision.

Negro Takes Justice Oath on Ohio Supreme Court
Robert M. Duncan was sworn in as the first Black justice on the Ohio Supreme Court. A former Columbus Municipal Court judge, Duncan was appointed by Gov. Rhodes to replace Paul W. Brown, now Ohio attorney general. Duncan, 41, hails from Urbana and graduated from Ohio State University Law School in 1952.

Rev and Mrs Crook Host Lillian Guild Meeting
The Crooks hosted the Lillian Guild January meeting at their West Smith Street home with Mrs. Betty Pratt presiding over the business session. Members were reminded of the corporate communion breakfast and plans were laid for the January 19 parish tureen dinner in the church undercroft. Mrs. Crook was assisted by Mrs. Walter S. Peake and Mrs. Dale Webster. The February meeting will be hosted in the church undercroft by Mrs. George Peck and Mrs. Irvin Downs.

City Collisions Prompt Traffic Repairs After Snow
At West Main and First avenue William M. Halfast 47 and Patricia A. Kinney 20 collided when Kinney pulled into the intersection from West Main. Halfast said he could not stop. Kinney said she tried to stop at the stop sign but slid into the intersection. No damage totals were given. At East Columbus avenue Nellie H. Kirch 52 struck a parked car owned by Rodger Moyer 39 after sightline was blocked by blowing snow. Kirch said an eastbound truck and blowing snow blinded her. Both cars sustained about 400 each.
