New County Bond Issue Faces Defeat
County Controller Willis warns the proposed 60000,000 bond issue faces likely defeat at the January 19 special election. He argues the county's $128 million property and $29 million personal valuations justify the plan as a reorganizing measure. Tax rate implications could require up to eight to ten mills, with voters skeptical of further spending if the bond fails.
