Penelec and 11 firms form MARC reliability pact
Pennsylvania Electric and 11 other investor owned utilities across PA NJ MD DE VA and DC formed the Mid- Atlantic Area Coordination Agreement to bolster reliability. The 12 members coordinate planning for new generating plants and high voltage transmission, supplementing the PJM framework with an Area Coordination Committee reporting to an Executive Board to review and align projects and reliability standards.
