Funeral services for Mrs. J W Wilson were held at her Maple Avenue home Monday afternoon at 2 30 conducted by Rev H N Stubbs of Cattaraugus assisted by multiple pastors. Pallbearers included H Palmer B A Loveland and others with many floral tributes. Burial followed at Pine Grove Cemetery beside her son Walter. Out of town attendees included Mrs W Loveland Du Bois and others from nearby towns.
County commissioners met on Monday and organized with C. B. Lorenz of Erie elected president. The previous year’s officer was Grant Smith. Melvin J. Smith of Benyar Dim served as the third commissioner, and O. N. Ransom was reappointed tax collector for Corry.
