Crash kills three in I 90 gorge near Erie
Two Cleveland residents remain in critical condition after a one car crash on Interstate 90 held near Erie. The vehicle veered off a bridge then plunged 185 feet into a gorge killing driver Jason Morton 25 his wife Forestine 25 and his sister Brenda Morton 18. Passengers James Hall 24 and his wife Gloria 20 were injured and hospitalized. Trooper James Buzard said wet road conditions contributed but not enough to cause the crash. Rescue teams worked 90 minutes to free the occupants from mud and snow near Six Mile Creek. Coroner Merle Wood and volunteers aided the efforts praising the responders.
