A longtime Cornplanter Tribe leader, Beradacabs known as Chief of the Cornplanters, will be buried tomorrow at the Cornplanter Reservation cemetery near the grave of his great grandfather, the first Chief Corn planter, who died February 18, 1836. Indians from far and near are expected to attend the funeral.

Tioga Man Loses Reinstatement Bid On Eisenhower Petition
A Tioga County man Richard L Reese failed to restore his Eisenhower presidential petition on the April 22 ballot after Dauphin County court struck 39 names from his petitions for state Republican committee member. The removals left 77 valid signatures, short of the 100 required, due to missing addresses and unregistered signers. Reese had argued the petitions were challenged by the Grundy Owlett machine and claimed political retaliation.
