Child nearly poisoned by disinfectant accident

A five year old boy, Walter Stith, son of Mr and Mrs George Smith of East Congress street, climbed to a bottle of disinfectant on a medicine cabinet and drank the contents. Neighbors responded with emergency remedy, and the child recovered, narrowly escaping fatal poisoning.

Erie fireman hurt last night in train incident near CM tower

Erie fireman C. H. Urquhart suffered serious injuries when a broken drawbar struck his left foot while coupling a train near the CM tower half a mile east of Columbus. He was treated by Dr. Jol Kibler and returned home to Meadville.
