Stephen Fahey a 22 year old Corry man received a one to two year term for aiding a jail breach at Crawford County jail. He must pay a 10 dollar fine plus costs and be examined for possible transfer to a state institution. He also received a separate burglary and larceny sentence to start after the first.
A Titusville man James A. Morrison 26 em ployee of Corry Rubber Corp was arrested in his Phoenix Hotel room by city police and the FBI for desertion from the U. S. Army. Morrison had been missing from Fort Meade Md since December last year and was turned over to Fort Meade officials before being picked up in Erie.
A Spartansburg man Charles W. Aul and Sam Brown of Corry plus others were sentenced in Crawford County Court. Aul received a 14 to 3 year term for burglary and larceny with a concurrent sentence for attempted burglary and was referred to an institution after a Pittsburgh center ruling. The pair were linked to 17 burglaries in Titusville Corry North East area during July and August involving Lin Van Lanes Burdick Building Supply and Gulf Service Station Cherry Tree. Grair L Burton Jr of Union City got two year probation and $50 fine for rifle larceny. Charles Peterson of Union City got $10 fine and three to six months in county prison.
