The Erie County Crippled Children's Society opens its 21st Easter Seal appeal running March to Easter Sunday April 18. More than 64 502 letters were mailed to raise funds for cerebral palsy therapy and weekly orthopedic clinics at Hamot Hospital.

Court Will Hear Libel Suit Appeal
Erie Pennsylvania Superior Court will hear an appeal of a criminal libel conviction by former Erie magazine publisher John Donaduey in Harrisburg Monday March. Donadue, whose magazine Town Grief has gone out of business here, was convicted in September Criminal Court. He was sentenced by Judge Elmer L Evans to 4 to 12 months in Allegheny County Workhouse.
