Youth Held for Bigamy in Jamestown Case
James Castro 300 East Second Street and Hazel Weaver Castro 19 are in custody on bigamy charges after police traced two marriages within a year. Louise Quisimberto Castro, 5 Church Street, says she wed Castro a week after last Easter and has never divorced him. Police obtained a marriage certificate showing Castro’s February 12 ceremony in Lincoln’s Birmlay with Hazel Weaver, who is on parole from Albion’s Western Training School for Girls. Investigators say Castro has been married three times, with the first wife dead and Weaver as the third bride. A clerk at Fallgower supplied the certificate. Nearby, George McKnight suffered a fall at Higden town, injuring his wrist.
