Couple Killed in Erie Crash
An early morning crash on Pleasant Fond south of Erie killed Dale Burkett 95 and his wife Amy 23. Edward Shaffer 98 of Evie RD 3 was in critical condition at Hamet Hospital. Charles Troutman 23 of Erie RD 6, and Mrs Shaffer and Mrs Troutman were injured but released. State Police and Deputy Coroner W. Allen Firman pursue the investigation.

Mrs Carrie Green 66 wife of Earl Green of French Creek died at Corry Hospital at 3x m after a weeklong illness. Born in Fairview in 1881, she married Earl Green in 1905 and moved to French Creek. She was a Jehovahs Witness and survived by seven sons, two daughters, two sisters, and 13 grandchildren. Funeral services are at Spitzer Funeral Home with burial in Cutting Cemetery.
