Plane Crash Kills Sherlock Frame Nine In Harrisburg Area

A twin engine state plane crashed into a suburban Harrisburg home, killing nine. Among the dead were Transportation Secretary William Sherlock and State Republican Chairman Richard Frame. CSC Loses Programs In Budget Cuts

Blame Heater In Farm Fire Near Corry

Firefighters from Stanford and Elgin Beaverdam responded to a mid day farm house blaze four miles south of Corry. A defective pipe around an oil heater was blamed for igniting the fire at the George Stanko residence. Interior damage and partitions were estimated at about $500.
